Prof. Gong Ting from the Department of Public and Social Administration at City University of Hong Kong gave a lecture entitled “Methodological Issues in Corruption Research” in room 826, Wenke Building, on October 22.

Prof. Gong started from the following eight controversial questions in the field of corruption studies. What is corruption? Why is the forms of corruption constantly changing? Can the level of corruption be measured? Does the high salary for a clear government policy work? Does competition reduce corruption probability? Does corruption obstruct economic growth? Can democracy prevent corruption?
