On the afternoon of May 12th, 2012, the first seminar jointly organized by The Dr. Seaker Chan Center for Comparative Political Development Studies of Fudan University and the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University was held in Room 615，Wenke Building. The seminar centered around “Europe in Transformation: Political Development in Europe after the French Presidential Election”. More than ten scholars and experts from Fudan University, Tongji University as well as Shanghai Academy of Social Science etc. attended the seminar, and had discussions under the five sub-topics namely “The French Presidential Election, Government Succession and the Political Turnover in Europe”, “The Current Status and Trend of the European Debt Crisis”, “The Social Policy Reform and Public Protest in Europe”, “Political Changes, Debt Crisis and the Development of European Integration”, and “European Diplomacy and China-EU Relations”.
