On the morning of September 17th, 2012, Susan shirk, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State during the Clinton administration, expert on Chinese politics, and Director of 21st Century China Program of School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, UC San Diego, together with her colleagues visited the Dr. Seaker Chan Center for Comparative Political Development Studies. Prof. Peter Cowhey from the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, UC San Diego, and other staff from Fudan-UC Center on Contemporary China accompanied her. Prof. Chen Yugang, Deputy Director of the Chan Center hosted the discussion. Associate Professor Liu Chunrong, Dr. Xiong Yihan, Dr. Li Hui, and Dr. Shen Yi attended the discussion.
