The center plans to host five overseas scholars annually to join a residential research program in comparative political development. 

After the review and approval process, the center will arrange research space, accommodation and other logistics by consulting with applicants.

Dr. Seaker Chan Endowed Visiting Scholar in Comparative Political Development

Applicant Qualification

Applicant Qualification: Domestic and foreign Scholar with high reputation in Comparative Political Studies 

Duration: 1-2months within the semesters. Usually the spring semester is between March and Jun, and the fall semester is between September and December. 


Our Expectations

1) The visiting scholar may use this visit as part of his/her research project toward publishable research outputs;

2) Offer an intensive course for graduate students of the school. Alternatively, we may invite the visiting scholar to do a series of academic lectures. 

We offer

1) One round trip Airline ticket in economic cabin 

2) Room, accommodations, and living stipends during the period of visit 

3) Office space and computer 

4) Access to printing and copying facilities and library resources at Fudan 

5) Recommend a young scholar with similar research interests at Fudan as collaborator

Application Procedure

1) The Center releases information, receive applications, and distributes application materials to relevant reviewers. 

2) The academic committee of the Center selects qualified candidates according to the application materials and the evaluation reports from reviews. 

3) The academic commits submit the list of candidates to the Center Council to make final decisions.
